Where should we park?

February 22, 2012 Leave a comment

Let’s see, where should we park the Mini and the Fiat?

How about in front of the  heavy timber beams?  Sure.

Next to the fork lift and in front of the saw horses?  Yup, it’s all good, as long as Rick has room to work.

Hi Rick!

Most of our timber frame crew is raising a frame this week over in the big NH, hope to have pictures soon!

Timber Frame Raising

Put the bents together, crane them into place, drop in the purlins and connectors, how hard can it be?

:)

Experienced timber framers with  all the proper tools!!  Yes, that’s a big one.

2x’s for bracing…lots of bracing is needed.

Straps and Come-A-Longs?  Bring them ALL.

Who’s running crane guy?  Doug, check.

Great progress, lots more to go.

Here is our finished timber frame pool house.  LOVE it.

Smells like / A Let’s Blog Off Post

Smells like camp fire! Love love love that (Happy Valentine’s Day).

Whether it’s an actual camp fire, wood stove or fire place, just love it.

Always takes me back to a more relaxed state of mind (which some days is badly needed)!

Camp fire is best though :)

Even the pellet stove at the office is a plus!

Now, I’m missing Ruby.

Each Project is Unique

Each project is unique…why?

It’s just how we approach things.  Could we rebuild the same typical post and beam barn frame over and over?  We sure could, adjusting for the engineering (but, of course).  Just haven’t gone down that road….YET!

From big,

to small…

and everything in between.  It’s just how we roll.

Custom Designs, Handcrafted, High Quality Timber Frames.

Do you think we would be a good fit for your timber frame project?  Give a call :) let’s talk.

Do you need a tension tie?

This truss design did.  Pretty, don’t you think?

Since this structural truss design naturally wants to push out against the wall framing (we don’t want that), bring in the steel tie rod.

Engineering Dept. is happy (that’s what we want)!
