Timber Arches Everywhere Complete

The beginning Timber Arches Everywhere.

Progress: The Truss Install.

This hybrid timber frame project is complete!

This great room is something else, very happy with the finish.

Remember where we started?

We enjoyed working with Westall Architects on this one.  Initially contacted by them and we stayed strong through the bidding processes while a general contractor was chosen.  Nice when that works out.

Anyone up for a game of pool?

I’ll play pool anytime under these heavy timber trusses.

This stunning project had a great team, Ghidorzi Architects & Schutlz Building.  Excellent job!

Timber Frame Hybrid

Custom home with a hybrid timber design by Schultz Building Co., Binder Ghidorzi Architectural Services and Vermont Timber Works, Inc.

Douglas fir glulams arches joining natural douglas fir timbers and conventional framing, very pretty.  Client said on the lake…they were not kidding!

Timber Arches Everywhere.

Timber frame homes many times will feature timber trusses in the great room. If a timber truss design creates an arch beyond a certain radius, it will need to be a glulam beam. Sometimes called a laminated beam, can you see the lamination lines?

Here is what these timber arches will help create. Vermont Timber Works crew is building the trusses now…I’ll have updated pictures soon.
